Tony's can be an interesting place. Ran by an ex-drummer Aussie, Tony's is a non-smoking, friendly place with a sometimes eccentric crowd. Offering 6,000 won pints Guinness and Kilkenny, a great selection of pub food, and Aussie products for sale, it's definitely got a lot to offer. Totally worth the walk up the hill.

Directions: Out Itaewon Station exit #1, walk straight about five minutes. When you reach KEB bank on your right, you can see a road just past veering up the hill parallel to the main road sidewalk. Tony's is just at the top of the hill on the right. (see map)

Tony no longer has Kilkenny

Tony replaced Kilkenny with Smithwick's. Still has Guinness though. And the best prices in Itaewon.

Good Guinness, No Smoking, and Good Food

I really enjoy Tony's. The food is decent, the beer is cheap, and it's nice to know a place in Itaewon that doesn't allow smoking inside. I think many people don't even know where it is, but it's a really great location, right between Itaewon station and HBC.

Give it a try.

Cheap Beer, Decent Food

Finally, a place in Itaewon where I don't feel like I'm being robbed when I order a Guinness or Kilkenny. Now he's got Smithwick's for only 5,000. Food is decent as well.

Good Guinness; Bad Tony

Go for the Guinness and try to avoid the owner. He's tolerable, but I like to enjoy my beer in peace. Open mic on Monday can be ridiculous and it's not for me. Saturday afternoon is my time there.

The place for Guinness

Finally a place that has a good price on Guinness. Forget the other bars in Itaewon charging 9,000 won a pint.

3 Alley Pub -- Decent prices on a large selection of draft beers.

Tony's Aussie Bar and Bistro -- 6,000 won Guinness and Kilkenny.

Seoul Pub -- Cheap beer, not much else.

Polly's Kettle -- Large soju cocktails.

Recommended for Brunch

Flying Pan Blue -- A popular spot with great food and decorated with fresh-cut flowers. Very stylish.

Rocky Mountain Tavern -- "Truck Stop" breakfast of eggs, bacon, potatoes, and coffee or tea for only 9,000 won.

Tartine Bakery and Cafe -- A new cafe across from their bakery. High quality ingredients and hand-made sausage.

Zelen Bulgarian Restaurant -- Bulgarian restaurant with an eloquent atmosphere and outstanding food.

Villa Sortino -- High-end, authentic Italian with great steaks, excellent service, and extensive wine list.

Gecko's Garden -- Romantic and peaceful. Gecko's Garden is a nice, quiet option in Itaewon.
